In the summer right before his senior year of high school, Stephen bought his first guitar at a local pawn shop in hopes of starting a band with a friend. Making more noise than actual music, none of them knew how to play instruments. The short-lived band phase ended, and Stephen continued on his own path to pursue his love for music. Delving straight into songwriting that first year, Stephen spent countless hours crafting lyrics, melodies, and arrangements. His songs were initially recorded on a cheap computer microphone with basic multitrack software. As his craft quickly developed, Stephen began writing and self-producing marketable songs at a professional level.

He describes himself first and foremost as a songwriter; second, a producer/mixing & mastering engineer, and recording artist, third. He has had over a dozen different singers and artists perform his songs, has co-written with dozens of songwriters, and has produced, mixed, and mastered music of various artists and bands in a variety of genres. To date, Stephen has written and produced over 100 commercial songs with six self-studio albums and continues to hone in on his craft as a songwriter, producer, artist, and mixing/mastering engineer.
